Job Summary
Perform and report tests of all complexity levels per CLIA on patients of all ages to assist with routine screening, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and injuries. May participate in phlebotomy, specimen processing, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting, and contribute to Quality Assurance/Quality Control; may engage in research, development, education, and technical consultation. 0.6 FTE shift rotation (Day/Eve/Night); Union: ADIT. Required Qualifications
- MLT requires Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technician OR meets CLIA guidelines for complexity of laboratory testing for alternative route
- MLS requires Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science OR MLS (ASCP) certified with additional semester hours and 2 years of full-time lab experience and certification as MLS (ASCP) within one year from hire
- MLT certification as Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) or equivalent within one year from the date of hire
- MLS certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) within one year from the date of hire
