Job Summary
Perform all in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for reference lab testing. Execute phlebotomy, specimen processing, urinalysis, urine microscopy, chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, and microbiology, including some manual testing. Maintain instruments, manage quality control, and ensure compliance with Clinical Laboratory Improvements Amendments (CLIA) and Federal guidelines. Coordinate all in-house and external laboratory testing. Requires ASCP certification, a biological science degree, and weekend/rotating holiday schedule availability. Located at the Woodbury, MN office.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an AMA approved technical program or an associate/bachelors degree in a biological science
- Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) certification
- Medical Technologist (ASCP) certification
- Required to work on a weekend rotation
- Required to work on a rotating holiday schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Three to Five years of experience in laboratory techniques
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) products such as Orchard and UroChart
