Job Summary
Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, including PCR, immunoassays, and specimen collection processing. Conduct phlebotomy procedures, monitor vital signs, and maintain laboratory management protocols to ensure safety and quality compliance. Utilize laboratory information management systems for accurate data entry, prepare samples for analysis, and perform daily equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Participate in Quality Control and Quality Management for assigned areas while upholding cleanliness and organization within the laboratory. Work a day shift Monday to Friday in a full-time role with in-person location at the Anderson Area Cancer Center.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in medical laboratory technology or a related field
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
- Proficiency in various laboratory techniques, including specimen collection processing and immunoassays
- Strong data analysis skills with attention to detail for accurate test result interpretation
- Experience with laboratory management systems
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in medical laboratory technology or a related field is preferred
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is highly desirable
- Experience with laboratory management systems is an advantage
