Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Full Time

Job Summary
Perform routine and complex laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and urinalysis while operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting instruments. Collect, prepare, and analyze specimens following established protocols, ensuring accuracy through strict quality control measures and proficiency testing. Record and report results to physicians, manage inventory of reagents, and maintain accurate patient documentation in compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards. Assist in training new staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives. This role requires a minimum of five years of clinical laboratory experience, an associate's degree, and ASCP certification, with shift work including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in medical laboratory technology
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by ASCP, AMT, or equivalent
- Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift
- Able to maintain balance, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, and wipe
- Shift work, including weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
