Medical Laboratory Technician FT

Job Summary
Perform clinical laboratory testing across Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Immunology, Microbiology, and Blood Bank; prepare specimens and ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage; operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments; verify and validate test results and document in the LIS; participate in quality control, proficiency testing, and quality improvement activities; follow safety protocols and infection control; assist with inventory and supply stocking; communicate results to providers, nurses, and clinical staff; participate in continuing education and training opportunities; requires an Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, NAACLS-accredited MLT program completion, relevant certification (ASCP/AMT or equivalent), and current state licensure if applicable; preferred experience includes one year in a hospital/outpatient laboratory and familiarity with CLIA and CAP standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent from an accredited program
- Completion of a NAACLS-accredited MLT program
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
- Current state licensure, if applicable
