Job Summary
Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory testing across hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, immunology, microbiology, and blood bank under supervision; prepare specimens, operate and maintain instruments, verify results, document in the Laboratory Information System (LIS), participate in quality control, proficiency testing, and quality improvement activities, adhere to CLIA/CAP/OSHA guidelines and safety protocols, assist with inventory and supply stocking, and communicate urgent or critical results to providers and clinical staff; certification and licensure requirements apply, with preferred phlebotomy experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent from an accredited program
- Completion of a NAACLS-accredited MLT program
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
- Current state licensure, if applicable
