Job Summary
Conduct laboratory work by preparing, sorting, and processing specimens while performing phlebotomy procedures and collecting samples per protocol. Accurately enter patient and test data into laboratory systems and answer telephone enquiries to assist clients professionally. Participate in on-call duties as required and manage competing priorities while maintaining high accuracy and adhering to strict quality procedure guidelines. Work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach. This part-time role offers 16 hours per fortnight, with additional weekend roster and on-call participation once trained, providing opportunities for skill development and career growth within our inclusive workplace.

- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
- The ability to work in a methodical manner adhering to strict quality procedure guidelines
- Customer focus and commitment to providing a high quality of service to internal and external customers with effective interpersonal skills
- Must be a team player with initiative, good interpersonal and communication skills and possess the ability to work in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
Desired Qualifications
- A sound knowledge of medical terminology, and laboratory operations including safety, and hands-on practical experience is preferred
