Job Summary
Perform CLIA waived and non-waived testing, verify and report laboratory results, and execute analyzer maintenance, calibration, and quality control procedures. Identify issues affecting assay performance or patient results, perform corrective actions, and document troubleshooting steps. Assist with reagent inventory, specimen processing, new equipment validation, and training students or new employees. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm, with rotating weekends on call. Role involves 80% standing time and exposure to body fluids.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology
- Eligible to take ASCP, AMT or equivalent certification exam and must pass within one year of hire date
- 1-year medical laboratory experience
Desired Qualifications
- 1-year medical laboratory experience, preferred
