Job Summary
Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) collects and processes moderate- to high-complexity tests per CLIA, maintains instruments, and provides physicians with rapid, accurate results. Performs tests in hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and blood banking under supervision of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist; conducts instrument preventive maintenance and troubleshooting; validates data and reports to physicians and regulators; participates in QA/QI projects and training of lab staff; ensures HIPAA compliance and ongoing competency. Requires ASCP MLT certification and a willingness to work in a night shift at Vail Health. Required Qualifications
- ASCP Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification
- One year of experience in a high complexity lab preferred
- English language proficiency
