Job Summary
Perform a variety of diagnostic laboratory tests to obtain data for diagnosing and treating disease, ensuring accurate and precise results with a low error rate. Independently troubleshoot instrument functions, resolve quality control issues, and verify test performance specifications while maintaining established procedures. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, manage sample processing, and oversee phlebotomy and specimen collection teams. Train new staff and students in bench procedures, develop competency tools, and execute quality control programs within regulatory requirements. Assist in outpatient and inpatient phlebotomies, requisition checks, and non-patient registration as needed. This full-time, 40-hour day-shift position rotates between clinics in Concord, Manchester, and Nashua, with occasional evening shifts and weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science Degree or the equivalent in education & Clinical Laboratory experience
- 3-5 years of clinical lab experience
- Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines and manage changing volumes
- Basic knowledge of computer software systems
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT-AMT) or Technologist/Specialist in Chemistry (C-ASCP) or International Technologist in Microbiology (M-ASCP) or Technologist/Specialist in Chemistry (C-ASCP) or Specialist in Hematology (SH-ASCP) or International Specialist in Microbiology (SM-ASCP) within 365 days
- BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
