Job Summary
Collect and process specimens using appropriate technique, perform testing across hematology, coagulation, microbiology, chemistry, urinalysis, and transfusion medicine, and verify assay/analyzer performance. Document and communicate laboratory results thoroughly while maintaining equipment through scheduled maintenance. This role supports critical access hospital and outpatient services at Osceola Medical Center, requiring an associate degree in lab science, ASCP/AMT certification, and one year of experience. The position operates on a casual schedule with no on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of associate degree in a lab science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
- Qualified to work in a high complex laboratory
- Laboratory certification such as ASCP or AMT
- At least one year of experience
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of computer systems including EMR, Microsoft Word and Excel
