Job Summary
Process specimens, perform waived and non-waived tests, and report results under general supervision. Maintain records for proficiency testing, document quality control activities, and calibrate instruments per established policies. Identify and correct performance deviations or notify supervisors immediately when test systems deviate from specifications. Work the night shift from 10 PM to 6:30 AM on a 40-hour weekly basis.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA in Science from an accredited college
- ASCP Certification Eligible or Certified
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology
- ASCP Certification Eligible or Certified
- Certification eligible CLT at MGH with one year of performance evaluations which meet or exceed expectations
- Ten hours of documented continuing education in previous year within division, hospital or external programs
