Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) - Full Time

Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) - Full Time at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Performs phlebotomy and comprehensive clinical laboratory testing across hematology, urinalysis, general microscopy, transfusion medicine, serology, bacteriology, coagulation, chemistry, and blood gases to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment. Adheres to policies and regulations for specimen collection, conducts QC and documentation of QC results, communicates critical values to physicians/RN, maintains instruments and work area, troubleshoots instrument issues, and ensures PHI protection. Uses AIDET with patient interactions and complies with HIPAA. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and ASCP/AAB/AMT certification with at least 1 year of professional MLS experience; eligible for or holding required occupational certification.
