Job Summary
Conduct pre-analytic, analytical, and post-analytical workflows in the Immunology Lab at Central DuPage Hospital, including specimen collection, processing, aliquoting, and instrument maintenance. Verify orders and specimens, perform quality control, and execute tests while prioritizing STAT requests and meeting turn-around times. Review and interpret results, report critical values, and manage billing and document storage. Adhere to all safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and regulatory compliance standards. Full-time, 40 hours per week. Requires Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science and ASCP certification or eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Allied Health qualifying the applicant to take the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or equivalent certification examination
- General MLS or MT (ASCP) Certification or eligible
- Categorical BB, C, H or M (ASCP) Certification or eligible
- ASCP certified (or equivalent certification) within one year of employment
- Must complete an authorization and disclosure form for background check
- Must pass background check including criminal history
