Job Summary
Perform HLA typing via rSSO and next generation sequencing, conduct Luminex-based HLA antibody identification, and execute donor/recipient flow cytometric cross-matching under HLA laboratory supervisor direction. Maintain instrumentation in good working order, identify and notify the supervisor of malfunctions, and assist in instrument repair. Recognize and report abnormal or discrepant results. Manage limited participation in student teaching and basic administrative duties. Requires proof of legal authority to work and completion of pre-employment screening including TB, criminal background, and substance abuse testing.
Required Qualifications
- Current University of Arkansas System employees, including student employees and graduate assistants
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology
- ASCP or another accrediting agency certified or eligible
- Certification must be obtained within one year of employment
- Annual TB Screening
- Criminal Background Check
- Substance Abuse Testing
