Job Summary
Performs waived and moderately complex laboratory testing, including specimen collection, processing, analysis, and reporting in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards. Ensures quality control compliance, performs proficiency testing, monitors test system performance, and takes corrective action as needed in a primary care setting. Maintains instrument performance, adheres to CLIA/OSHA/HIPAA policies, and documents results accurately while prioritizing workflow efficiency. Requires Medical Laboratory Scientist with a four-year degree and ASCP certification, phlebotomy proficiency, and Electronic Health Records experience; strong communication and independent judgement are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Laboratory Scientist preferred (4 year degree and ASCP certification)
- Phlebotomy proficiency
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures
- Electronic health records experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and develop workflow
- Fine motor skills for equipment operation
- Ability to stand most of the day and lift under 10 pounds
