Job Summary
Perform laboratory testing on waived, moderate, and high complexity assays for physician requests while documenting quality control, proficiency testing, and quality assurance. Assist with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and inventory management for all assays and instruments in compliance with CLIA regulations. Execute routine phlebotomy and maintain department policies regarding safety, environmental, and infectious control standards. Demonstrate knowledge of patient privacy rights and ensure confidentiality of all medical and sensitive materials. Full-time employment with a minimum of 40 hours per week, including weekend rotation and on-call duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Chemical, Physical, or Biological Sciences or closely related field
- Current AMT or ASCP Certification
- Full-time employment (Minimum 40 hrs/week, weekend rotation and on-call as needed)
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of patient privacy rights
- Maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial or other sensitive materials and information in printed, electronic or verbal form
