Medical Lab Technologist (Full-Time)

Job Summary
Performs specimen collection and testing in a hospital laboratory, entering orders, preparing specimens for in-house and reference lab testing, reviewing results for accuracy, reporting critical results promptly, maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory instruments, performing quality control and competency activities, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements (FDA, AABB, CLIA). Requires a B.S. in Medical Technology, phlebotomy training, and AMT/ASCP certification eligibility; works 40 hours per week on 10-hour shifts. Maintain clean work areas, handle infectious materials aseptically, and manage supplies; proficient in basic computer tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology
- Completed training in phlebotomy techniques
- Current laboratory AMT or ASCP certification or eligible to obtain
- Hours: Minimum 40 hours/week, 10 hour shifts
