Job Summary
Perform clinical testing and release accurate patient results in accordance with established protocols; operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment; conduct and monitor quality control procedures; validate new reagent lots and support implementation of new methods and instrumentation; utilize laboratory information systems for specimen processing, test management, and result reporting; participate in external proficiency testing and post‐software upgrade validations; maintain expertise in specimen handling, critical values, rejection criteria, storage requirements, and test-specific protocols; ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, safety policies, WHMIS, and chemical hygiene regulations; support team effectiveness through training, documentation updates, and process improvement initiatives; maintain strict confidentiality of patient and organizational information.
Required Qualifications
- Registration through CAMLPR pathways or certification with CSMLS.
- Recent experience in the relevant laboratory discipline is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Windows-based systems and laboratory software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‐paced environment.
