Job Summary
Perform routine, moderate, and complex laboratory tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, and Coagulation while monitoring reagent quality and instrument conditions. Check quality control prior to running tests, call work lists, edit results, and enter data into the computer. Confirm abnormal results, review daily specimen management reports, and troubleshoot client, instrument, or computer issues. Maintain adequate supply inventory, ensure compliance with state documentation requirements, and perform maintenance on automated analyzers. Record quality control data, conduct differentials and urine sediments, and complete all clerical functions related to specimen integrity and reporting. Follow safety protocols, complete required training, and participate in process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree with MLT certification
- Must be familiar with all phases of the operation of the automated instrumentation utilized for routine analysis
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 (one) year experience in chemistry/hematology
