Job Summary
Medical Laboratory Technician in Hematology for LifeLabs in Mississauga, ON. The role is casual with a 23:00-07:00 night schedule, requiring weekend availability and at least one day per week. Responsibilities include performing manual and automated hematology testing under supervision, data entry of specimens, triaging/testing per LifeLabs procedures, addressing Quality Assurance indicators, instrument/equipment maintenance, reagent/control preparation, and maintaining safety, confidentiality, and a clean, stocked work area. Candidates should have a High School diploma, WHMIS training, and experience in a laboratory setting is preferred; Registered Laboratory Assistant (OSMT) is optional. The position is in-person in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, under the OPSEU LAB collective agreement.
