Job Summary
Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) responsible for performing hematology, microbiology, chemistry, immunology, and blood banking tests; prepare specimens and operate microscopes, centrifuges, and automated analyzers; analyze and interpret results with strict quality control; maintain and calibrate instruments; document findings and communicate with physicians and healthcare teams; ensure safety and regulatory compliance while handling hazardous materials and biohazardous waste; position includes on-site work in Jasper, IN with flexible benefits (tuition, relocation assistance, sign-on bonus) and opportunities for professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Certified as a MLT or MLS by ASCP
- ASCP certification must be acquired within 3 years of hire date
- AMT/AMT registration
- Bachelor/Associate level education with training in Medical Technology or related field
- 2-3 years of similar lab experience
- Federal government/HHS registration with similar lab experience
