Job Summary
Perform laboratory testing in various sections under general supervision of the Laboratory Manager. Execute control testing and initiate troubleshooting steps for problem areas. Maintain competency in components of laboratory technology as appropriate. Communicate instructions and information to patients and other clientele. Calculate by formula and utilize color spectrum visual acuity for specific lab tests. Requires an A.S. degree in MLT or B.S. in Medical Technology, with ASCP registration preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A.S. degree in MLT
- B.S. degree in Medical Technology
- degree in chemical, physical or biological science
- degree in chemical, physical or biological science with clinical training in a school approved by ASCP
