Job Summary
Perform technical laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and immunology while accurately reporting results and alerting providers of abnormal findings. Ensure quality control in specimen collection, processing, and record-keeping by maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment for accuracy and sterility. Follow all laboratory protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines while supporting workflow and assisting in training new staff. Requires a current Florida Medical Laboratory Technician license and MLT certification. Full-time night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with rotating weekends and $22.66 to $30.54 hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- Current Florida Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) license
- MLT, ASCP, CPT, or AMT certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong foundational knowledge of laboratory procedures and specimen handling
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of quality assurance and laboratory safety procedures
- Detail-oriented
- Prioritize safety and quality
- Flexible with night shifts and rotating weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- Prior medical laboratory experience, including clinical rotations or lab assistant work
