Job Summary
Perform and interpret laboratory tests in the Clinical Laboratory for the diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Submit to a Color-Acuity screening test and complete or be eligible for an appropriate certification examination from agencies such as ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, or HHS. This role requires an associates degree in laboratory science or a military health science graduate with certification, along with experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting. Work hours are 8:30am-5:00pm with no weekend or on-call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
- Graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology)
- Certification as a Medical Lab Technician
- Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations
- Must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test
- Applicants must have completed (or be eligible for) an appropriate certification examination
- Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)
