Job Summary
Responsible for the professional application of medical technology principles, producing reliable diagnostic results and working closely with patients and staff. Responsibilities include performing routine laboratory testing, analytical process in various laboratory sections, quality control documentation, assisting in the training of new staff, and ensuring cleanliness of the lab. Requires strong attention to detail and adherence to regulatory standards. Must possess specific certifications and education, along with clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associates of Arts in chemical, physical, or biological science with one (1) year of clinical internship
- Nationally recognized certification as MT (ASCP or equivalent)
- Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification
- Current CPR certification – Healthcare Provider (HCP) level
Additional Requirements
- Three (3) to five (5) years of hospital experience preferred
- One (1) year of training in the medical technology field
