Medical Lab Tech II

Perform waived, highly, and moderately complex laboratory testing in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, and Immunology using both manual and automated methods. Adhere to CLIA procedures for collecting, processing, and reporting patient results while maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly instrument maintenance. Review result accuracy before release, identify performance issues, and execute venipuncture or capillary puncture across all age groups. Document corrective actions for system deviations, ensure proficiency testing samples are processed identically to patient samples, and lead the section or department in your absence. Obtain ASCP certification or equivalent and three years of hospital laboratory experience.
