Job Summary
Perform clinical laboratory tests in an accurate and efficient manner following established policies and procedures. Conduct routine maintenance and quality control on testing equipment, identify instrument or reagent issues and initiate solutions. Record results accurately, notify clients of panic values, and use computer systems to generate and report results. Address client questions courteously, participate in training of new staff and students, and comply with corporate integrity and safety policies. Contribute to the department’s overall effectiveness and perform other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Medical Laboratory Science (MLT/MLS/CLS)
- ASCP or AMT certification (or eligible) or comparable required
