Job Summary
Perform analytical tests on biological specimens in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner while complying with documented laboratory procedures. Determine specimen acceptability through visual inspections or by recognizing abnormal results, and recognize factors affecting measurements by taking appropriate action according to protocols. Execute quality control for all testing to ensure results are released only after meeting established ranges. Maintain a safe work environment by performing equipment checks, cleaning areas, monitoring temperatures, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biology or Biochemistry through a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) approved program
- MLS Medical Lab Scientist Certification or eligible by a nationally recognized certification agency
