Job Summary
Perform analytical tests on biological specimens, including blood, tissues, and other body samples, in a timely and accurate manner while complying with documented laboratory procedures. Determine specimen acceptability through visual inspections or by recognizing abnormal results, and recognize factors affecting measurements by taking appropriate protocol actions. Execute quality control for all testing to ensure results are released only within established ranges, while maintaining a safe environment through equipment checks, cleaning, temperature monitoring, and troubleshooting. Provide physicians with quality results using clinical laboratory equipment and engage with staff and patients professionally. This PRN role at Anderson Hospital supports the Core Laboratory team in delivering exceptional patient care within a faith-based organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biology or Biochemistry through a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) approved program
- MLS Medical Lab Scientist Certification or eligible by a nationally recognized certification agency
