Job Summary
Perform analytical tests on biological specimens, including blood, tissues, and other body samples, in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. Determine specimen acceptability through visual inspections or by recognizing abnormal results, and recognize factors affecting measurements by taking appropriate action according to protocols. Execute quality control for all testing to ensure results are released only after established ranges are met. Maintain a safe work environment by performing equipment checks, cleaning areas, monitoring temperatures, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment. Work 40 weekly hours on nights.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in one of the following: Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biology or Biochemistry through a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) approved program
- MLS Medical Lab Scientist Certification or eligible by a nationally recognized certification agency
- Minimum: $30.99 Maximum: $48.04
