Job Summary
Medical Lab Scientist role in Indianapolis, IN for a high-volume pediatric blood bank. Perform ABO/Rh typing, antibody screening/identification, and crossmatching; manage inventory of blood products, ensure proper storage and regulatory compliance while minimizing waste; respond to emergency transfusion protocol activation; investigate serologic discrepancies and transfusion reactions in collaboration with pathologists and clinical teams; conduct quality control, equipment maintenance, and proficiency testing per accreditation standards; must hold active Indiana license (ASCP-BB/MLS) with eligible ASCP-MLT if applying as MLT, and typically 1-2 years related experience; willingness to work independently within a team; requires BLS and other facility-specific compliance. 13-week night-shift contracts available; online CEUs and specialized training; contract completion/referral bonuses.
