Job Summary
Medical Lab Scientist Flow Cytometry role performing a variety of laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, transfusion and flow cytometry. Responsible for accurate testing, data recording and reporting, instrument calibration and maintenance, quality control/assurance, and collaboration with healthcare professionals. Key duties include preparing and handling samples, analyzing results, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining a safe laboratory environment. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a clinical laboratory/medical technology science or related field, MLS program completion with eligibility for BOC, ASCP certification (or equivalent) and ongoing certification, ability to work a flexible shift schedule (including nights/weekends), and relevant state licensure/foreign transcript considerations as applicable. Familiarity with lab safety protocols, data reporting, and quality control processes is essential. The role is based in Murray, Utah, at Central Laboratory, with a 40-hour weekly schedule and a sign-on bonus incentive. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory/medical technology science or chemical, physical, biological, or equivalent
- Completion of MLS program coursework and internship requirements with eligibility to sit for the BOC
- ASCP certification or equivalent certification (to maintain MLS role)
- Certification must be maintained to remain in job
- Flexibility to work shifts that may include weekends, holidays, nights and on-call
- Montana state licensure or temporary licensure for Montana applicants (if applicable)
- Foreign transcript evaluation for foreign applicants
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers where required
