Job Summary
Perform diagnostic testing to assist physicians and healthcare professionals in patient screening, diagnosis, and treatment. Accurately perform and evaluate highly complex laboratory testing in Hematology, coagulation, chemistry, and UA within the Core Lab. Demonstrate behavioral skills to contribute to a productive work environment while providing excellent customer service. Work the second shift (12:00pm - 10:30pm) on a 7 on 7 off schedule at the University Hospital building in Omaha. Partner with physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff to deliver exceptional care through collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and completion of a certified clinical program in medical laboratory science
- associate's degree and MT(HEW) certification

- Certified medical laboratory scientist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists MLS(ASCP), American Medical Technologist (AMT) or equivalent within 12 months eligibility/graduation
- Medical Technologist (MT (ASCP)) OR Clinical Laboratory Scientist certified by the National Credentialing Agency (CLS (NCA)) prior to 2004
- International Medical Laboratory Scientist, MLS(ASCPi) 1 with approval from the ASCPi
- ASCP ---Board of Certification (BOC) Certification Maintenance Program (ASCP)CM
