Job Summary
Medical Lab Scientist II / Medical Technologist II with Blood Bank & Transfusion Service background to perform a range of laboratory tests and procedures on patient specimens, serve as a key operator for new equipment, evaluate results for release, participate in safety and infection control policies, and provide teaching and mentoring to lower-level technologists. Includes venipuncture, immunohematology, hematology, microbiology, and immunology testing as part of a clinical laboratory setting within Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, GA. Shift options include multiple schedules with rotating weekends/holidays; opportunities for relocation incentives are available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or a chemical, physical or biological science
- Two years experience
- Certified MT/MLS by ASCP or equivalent if applicable
- Blood Bank experience
- Ability to perform venipuncture
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
