Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and deliver quality classroom instruction in lecture, clinical, and laboratory formats based on approved course outlines. Assess student learning, resolve questions, and advise students on attendance and grades to ensure successful completion and retention. Monitor classroom environments, manage supplies, and contact absentee students via text, email, or phone as needed. Participate in faculty meetings, maintain professional growth through seminars and research, and conduct annual site visits with employers. Maintain employer relationships and ensure all educational activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Laboratory Assistant and/or Phlebotomy Certificate
- Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) courses require a degree, diploma, or certificate in the field taught from a post-secondary institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. DOE
- two years' documented experience in the subject taught
- three years of significant job-related, documented experience for those instructors without specific education in the field
- Must be able to work late night or weekends
