Job Summary
Receive, sort, and identify specimens; register patient details and tests on the laboratory computer system. Prepare samples for analysis under supervision of the Blood Management Specialist, operating equipment such as centrifuges and automated systems in accordance with SOPs. Enter requests into the laboratory LIMS and safely handle biological materials or hazardous chemicals. Maintain laboratory cleanliness and prepare referral samples for external analysis. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00, with occasional Saturdays. Candidates must be educated to GCSE Level, numerate, literate, and computer literate, with excellent organizational and time management skills. No scientific background is necessary.
