Job Summary
Sterilize and sanitize medical clinics, detention centers, and public spaces including hallways, bathrooms, and common areas. Maintain constant cleanliness monitoring while using appropriate equipment, chemicals, and supplies. Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub surfaces, empty trash receptacles, and buff floors. Perform heavy cleaning on induction units, walls, lighting fixtures, and windows, both inside and outside. Identify safety hazards, document inspections, and report mechanical issues to the facility crew.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Two years of relevant experience
- Read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- The job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, techniques, skills, materials, and methods of janitorial work
- Complete Bloodborne Pathogen training
- The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs
- The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
- The ability to lift between 25-50 lbs
- The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- The ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
- Be able to pass a background check and screening requirements as required by contract and company standards
