Job Summary
Pick up and deliver medical equipment in a hospital environment while maintaining high levels of customer service for patients and clients. Walk long periods throughout the day and push or pull beds weighing up to 75 lbs. Follow hospital standards and protocols to ensure safety and efficiency while communicating problems or solutions to appropriate personnel. Report any faulty equipment or unusual conditions to the hiring manager and document data to aid in problem identification and production scheduling. Train and assist other operators in their duties to ensure a quality product and smooth workflow. This part-time, on-site role reports to UAB West and supports the Baxter mission to save and sustain lives through essential medical device operations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or GED
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must follow processes and procedures as written
- Must be able to walk for long periods of time throughout the day
- Must be able to push and pull beds
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to communicate problems and/or solutions to appropriate person
- Must be able to report any faulty equipment or unusual conditions to the hiring manager
- Must be able to document and/or chart data to aid in problem identification, quality feedback and production scheduling
- Must be able to train, teach and assist other operators in their duties as required
- Must have a high level of customer service
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be able to work in a team environment
