Job Summary
Provide accurate, high-quality consecutive interpretation during medical appointments and healthcare interactions. Facilitate clear communication between healthcare providers and patients while maintaining professionalism, neutrality, and strict confidentiality. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness in diverse healthcare settings, following client-specific protocols to manage communication flow. Work face-to-face in healthcare facilities on an as-needed basis as an independent contractor. Fluency in English and at least one target language is required, along with strong knowledge of medical terminology and proven interpreting experience.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in English and at least one target language (spoken and understood at a professional level)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills
- Ability to remain impartial, professional, and composed in sensitive situations
- You will work face-to-face in healthcare facilities on an as-needed basis as an independent contractor
Desired Qualifications
- Proven medical interpreting experience (preferred)
