Job Summary
Conduct ultrasound imaging and patient care at Veterans Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System, managing diagnostic equipment and ensuring accurate sonography procedures. Perform daily duties including PACS image management and basic computer tasks using Microsoft Office software. Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and apply two years of Medical Sonography experience to support patient care excellence. Work Monday through Sunday in 40-hour shifts with meal breaks, earning $40-60 per hour. Spectrum Healthcare Resources provides a supportive environment for this federal staffing role.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of current work experience in Medical Sonography
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Have basic computer skills
- Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Software(e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook)
- Monday – Sunday: Between the hours of Midnight – Midnight Including Holidays
- Lunch or dinner meal periods: employees that works an 8-hourshift shall be entitled to two (2) 15-minute breaks and one (1) 30-minute mealbreak
- 40 hours per week
Desired Qualifications
- Encouraged, but not required, to hold a valid American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) (AB) certification
- Picture Achieving & Communication Systems (PACS) work experience; however, AGFA PACS experience is preferred but not required
