Medical Governance Consultant

Job Summary
Lead development and execution of MediCard's medical governance and quality management strategy. Drive clinical governance compliance, audits, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory reporting. Oversee licensing, accreditation processes, and ISO 9001:2015 QMS implementation. Manage complaints handling and patient experience initiatives; analyze data to drive continuous quality improvements. Collaborate with clinical leaders to address quality and safety concerns and serve as primary contact for regulatory inquiries and audits. Travel to clinic locations as needed; office-based with frequent travel. Requires a bachelor’s degree in medicine, nursing, healthcare management, or related field; advanced degree or certification preferred. 8-10 years of healthcare governance/quality assurance leadership experience.
Required Qualifications
- Education – bachelor’s degree in medicine, nursing, healthcare management, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (e.g., master’s in healthcare administration, Public Health) or certification in clinical governance, quality management, or healthcare compliance is preferred.
- Experience – Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a healthcare governance, clinical leadership, or quality assurance role.
- Proven experience in policy development, complaint resolution, and managing clinical documentation.
- Technical / functional skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Deep understanding of healthcare regulations, quality assurance practices, and clinical governance frameworks.
- Business skills: In-depth knowledge of local and international healthcare standards, including ISO certification and accreditation processes.
