Job Summary
PRN Medical Front Office Specialist at US Heart and Vascular, based in the Birmingham/Pell City, AL area. Responsibilities include greeting and checking in patients, obtaining complete registration, verifying insurance referrals and prior authorizations, printing medication lists, scanning medical records into the EMR/eCW, entering electronic messages to departments to support patient flow and document wait times, assisting the Billing Department with collecting co-pays and patient balances, and providing clear copies of insurance cards and current demographic information. Performs other related duties as assigned; knowledge of patient scheduling techniques and insurance/billing is preferred but not required.
