Job Summary
Obesity Medicine Physician to join Banner - University Medical Center Tucson's weight-management program. Collaborate with the Bariatric Surgery Program and the Chair of Family Medicine within a MBSAQIP-accredited, multidisciplinary team including surgeons, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and psychologists. Responsibilities include managing patients with obesity through both surgical and non-surgical weight-management options, supporting development and maintenance of Bariatric Surgery and Obesity Medicine services, providing pre- and post-operative care, engaging in education, training, and clinical research, and advancing program growth and quality improvement. Ideal candidates possess an MD or DO, ABOM certification or eligibility, and Arizona medical licensure (or hire-date eligibility); family-medicine board certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible through ABOM
- Arizona medical license (or eligibility by hire date)
- Board Certification in Family Medicine preferred
- Fellowship in Obesity Medicine preferred
