Job Summary
Medical Examiner / Clinical Pathologist needed to provide forensic pathology services for FBI CIRG BAUs on a contract, on-call basis. Responsibilities include on-site and telephone consultations with FBI investigators, review of forensic pathology case materials, expert analysis of pediatric and adult death investigations, interpretation of findings, recommending investigative approaches, preparing written reports and delivering oral presentations, providing expert testimony, developing training materials for FBI personnel, maintaining professional independence, and ensuring timely response to FBI case requests. Requires MD, completed pathology residency, board certification in Forensic Pathology and Anatomic Pathology, and a minimum of 10 years of experience; active US medical license. Location includes FBI facilities nationwide (New York, NY area referenced).
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree
- Completion of a Pathology Residency (3–4 years)
- Board Certification in Forensic Pathology (required)
- Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology (required)
- Completion of Forensic Pathology Fellowship (preferred/required per evaluation)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in forensic pathology
- Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States
