Job Summary
Medical Equipment Technician — responsible for delivering, setting up, and supporting respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes or clinics. Educates patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of equipment; conducts patient assessments and reassessments; responds to equipment issues including emergencies; maintains home oxygen systems; ensures HIPAA compliance and PPE usage; delivers, retrieves, cleans, and maintains equipment; performs routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs; documents orders and supports reimbursement; promotes company services to referral sources; operates a company vehicle; participates in on-call rotation and quality-improvement activities; complies with safety and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required
- Clinical roles require valid licensure/certification, where applicable
- Customer service, Field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred
- One (1) year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred
- Senior level requires two (2) years of relevant experience, including one (1) year in a similar role
