Job Summary
Medical Equipment Technician role delivering, setting up, and supporting respiratory and home medical equipment to patients in their homes or care settings. Responsibilities include knowledge of HME products, patient assessments, safety education for patients and caregivers, troubleshooting equipment, maintaining oxygen systems, HIPAA/compliance, vehicle operation, and participation in on-call rotations. Requires delivering and maintaining equipment, completing documentation for patient care and reimbursement, and promoting company services to referral sources. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; prior customer service/field service or healthcare experience preferred; valid driver’s license required. The position emphasizes field-based, patient-facing work with emphasis on safety, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
- One (1) year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred
- Senior level requires two (2) years of relevant experience, including one (1) year in a similar role
