Job Summary
Lead analytics work within CVS Health’s Medical Economics - Medical Expense Review (MER) team to identify provider, procedure, and population-level trends affecting health plan costs and to size potential savings initiatives in coordination with clinical, finance, and network leads. Key duties include conducting advanced financial analyses in Excel, creating data visualizations, using SQL for ad-hoc queries, preparing executive-ready findings, and communicating insights to leadership. Requires 5+ years financial experience, 3-5 years in managed care analytics and related functions, and the ability to navigate enterprise reporting tools. Remote work eligible across multiple US states; bachelor’s degree in business/finance or equivalent experience; visa-free for this role.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years financial experience
- 3-5 years’ experience with key managed care functions including provider and population analytics, provider contracting, benefit design, medical management
- Advanced skills in Excel, and Web-based query tools to pull and analyze ad-hoc data
- Pivot tables, financial modeling, data tagging, and data visualizations to effectively communicate trend story
- Experience presenting to executive audience
- Ability to learn new technologies and analytic approaches
- SQL Coding: ability to run ad-hoc analyses to answer clinical or financial questions for multiple teams (preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of managed care and provider reimbursement policies
- Understanding of healthcare industry and contracts
- Underwriting, sales, product development, network management
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
