Job Summary
Drive a company vehicle to safely transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, hospital supplies, and interoffice mail across Nashville routes. Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle while loading, unloading vehicles with appropriate equipment. Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain a clean interior, and demonstrate safe, courteous driving behavior in varying weather conditions. Strictly observe operating policies and service schedules, adapting to route changes and client needs. Perform physical duties including lifting items up to 50 pounds, walking long distances, and standing for extended periods. Maintain a professional image with clients and the public.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must be 19 years of age
- Active driver's license for 3 years
- Demonstrated dependability and reliability
- Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
- Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
- Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
- Must have an excellent driving history
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift items off storage racks
- Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time
