Job Summary
Provide and administer ionizing irradiation to patients according to prescriptions and instructions from department physicians; prepare treatment room and equipment, transfer patients to treatment couch, and ensure patient identification and immobilization devices align with the treatment plan; observe patients for unusual reactions and signs of complications during therapy and report to supervisor/physician; deliver prescribed radiation therapy course and verify prescription and charts; supervise and evaluate students' practical abilities in procedures; comply with vaccination requirements as a condition of employment and participate in E-Verify.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) and Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT)
- Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice, Department of Health Services: ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T)
